Mission Santa Clara Post Office

I tried to go to your post office at 4:45 PM yesterday April 28, 2026. The cars were lined up to turn into the post office from Benton Street. When I finally got to the driveway, it was total gridlock cars would not move waiting for people to back up so I decided to go to the drive up mailbox that is placed in that little side road facing the street. I tried to put my mail in that mailbox and there was mail sticking out. I got out of my car. I had three letters to mail and I tried shoving them in that slot and that mailbox was totally jampacked. I don’t know when it was empty emptied, I got my letters halfway in and then they got stuck and I don’t know what was gonna happen to them. There were two cars behind me blowing their horn. A man was swearing the most obnoxious swear words people were blowing their horns. I finally pulled out and drove down the street and parked at the Santa Clara recreation center and tried to call the post office. I tried to call nonemergency Santa Clara Police department and they turned me over to dispatch. I wanted to report this because if there was a male thief, all he would have to do is have a little grabbers and pull all that mail out because it was all stuck right at the opening this morning. I tried to call all of the numbers my choices by AI did not fit what I wanted to say so I called the direct line to the Santa Clara post office and the phone rang for two minutes and then it hung up on me. I was mailing birthday cards with checks in it to My Sister and I’m really scared that if anybody came behind me, they could pull if they had the right equipment pulled the mail right out of that tiny little slot. I am very disappointed being 80 years old and you can’t talk to a human being. You have to go through AI or you have to go on a website. I’m praying that My Sister gets her birthday cards.
