Since covid, I've had to depend on the Lombard Post Office. And till now have had no issues. But yesterday Feb 9th and today Feb 10th 2022 their system has been down. Only cash or check. Really - 2 days system down and the clerk had no update when the system would be up. I run between meeting. Now I have to go to Glen Ellyn or Villa Park, which will really cut into my business day.... cuz package must go out today. Thats a lot of business lost.... I seen 3 people leave in the time I was there. In this day and age, someones system should not take 2 days to bring back online. And don't forget.... we need to get out of our cars and go into the Post Office to mail a letter due to NO outside mailboxes. Come on Lombard... we are better than this.
Why are we not getting mail on the days we are supposed to? Our neighbors did not receive their mail either. This is happening more times that not lately and it is starting to get real old. I'm supposed to have important mail yesterday and you were not out delivering that mail. What's the excuse this time?
12/16/2020: I am a total Kiosk person for this location. Early this evening around 4:00pm, I had to mail out three boxes for Christmas presents. I pulled into this location with the parking lot full. As I entered I thought this will take a while. I looked at the Kiosk line and thought nope not today. I said ok, let us do the good old line service. I was impressed! I was in and out of the office in less than 10 minutes. The post officials were courteous and efficient. I want to say thank you for your service. Happy Holidays!
