I am writing after what I consider to be, a savaging at your Rockville, MD 20850 post office at about 4pm on Saturday 6 of September 2025 by two of your employees who basically took turns double teaming me for the better part of 20 minutes because I came in to go to my PO box, noticed the lobby door was still open, customers were at the counter, I proceeded to enter but then realized I left my envelope I wanted to mail with a return receipt out in to the car and went back to retrieve it. I have been a customer at this public office for over 9 years if not more because time escapes me. I think I had my PO box there as far back as 2007. I needed to mail this letter with a return receipt and hadn’t for some time so seeing an opportune moment, I thought I would be able to do it then. There is a person there who has been identified to me as ‘a team leader’. I have for some time now, about 2 years, avoided because when I would come to the counter, he would be rude, abrasive, belligerent, confrontational and condescending to me as if we had some kind of violent history. There are many other descriptive words I could use because I found him to have some sort of covert contempt in his attitude towards me when I need to come to the counter for anything in the past for some odd reason. I have no idea what elicited this behavior and disrespect that has been no short the only word I could think to describe it as being; ghetto, towards me as the best word I can find for it. As if I didn’t deserve any customer service and he could treat me any way he felt like and say anything to me as well or just dry and unfriendly. When having to work with him, he would always be short, cutting, indifferent, discourteous so I just stopped going to his window. I never had any problem with anyone there ever. But it seemed there was some underlying disgust and disregard for my being there so much so, I just would let people pass me by in line to avoid having him ‘provide a service’, for me with anything if he was open and I was the next customer. I did this for the better part of 2 years. If he was the only person available with no help, I would just leave and not do business there. On the 6th, this past Saturday, 2025, as I came back in from the car after just going back to retrieve my letter, he was confrontational once again. This time in a very humiliating, denigrating and abusive manner. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I had had enough of his thuggish treatment of me as if he was searching for an altercation to enjoy. I even recognized the super because I had talked to him before. But something was different. I am going to file this with the Post Master General. No one should ever have him talk to them as a customer and I am sure this case is not isolated.

I don't understand the 1-star rating. I've always had good experiences with the staff who work quickly and are always polite. My only criticism is that parking is limited and sometimes a bit difficult to access due to 1-way traffic.
